Yoga pranayama

 

Sahita kumbhaka

1.Tandem Breathing (‘Sahita Kumbhaka’)

Il a 2 types, selon qu'il y a ou non un chant concomitant de Mantras avec l'exercice de Pranayama.

Pas:

1. Comfortable aasana like Padma-asana or Swastika-asana.
2. Slow inhalation; with concomitant chants of the mantra ‘OM AARAH’, if possible.
3. Hold the breath for a short period of time.
4. Slow Exhalation.

Importance:

It’s a daily and constant process, which we seldom appreciate.

AVANTAGES:

Il encourage la concentration avec les yeux fermés pendant que nous inspirons et expirons.


2. Awakening breath (‘Surya Bheda’)

Pas:

1. Position verticale dans un asana confortable comme Padma-asana / Swastika asana / Siddhasana. Concentrez-vous les yeux fermés.

2. Placez le pouce droit sur la narine droite (évitez d'appliquer une pression ou de bloquer la narine). En même temps, posez l'index droit sur l'espace entre les sourcils et fermez la narine gauche avec l'anneau droit et le petit doigt.

3. L'inhalation lente par la narine droite est poursuivie jusqu'à ce que vous soyez à l'aise.

4. Avec le pouce appliqué sur la narine droite, retenez votre souffle en appuyant fermement le menton contre la poitrine. Il n'y a pas de limite spécifique à cela et cela peut être poursuivi jusqu'à ce qu'il y ait une gêne.

5. Expiration lente et silencieuse par la narine gauche. Il est suivi d'un court intervalle dans lequel l'inhalation est évitée. Cette même procédure doit être répétée.

Limite de temps:

Retenez votre souffle jusqu'à ce que vous transpiriez. Ce point ne peut être atteint au tout début. La période de rétention d'haleine doit être augmentée progressivement.

Ujjayi Pranayama

3. Hissing breath (‘Ujjayi’)

Pas:

1. Sit comfortably in Padma-asana / Swastika asana / Siddhasana. Close the mouth.
2. Fold the tip of the tongue and rest it on the palate. The tongue will appear to be ‘twisted’.
3. Inhale air slowly through both the nostrils in a uniform manner till the breath fills the chest. This results in a peculiar sound uniform in pitch and continuous in nature.
4. Retain the breath as long as you can, till there is any discomfort.
5. Close the right nostril with the right thumb.
6. Exhale slowly through the left nostril.

4. Serpent’s Breath (Sheetali)

C'est une imitation de la respiration d'un serpent.

Pas:

1. Position verticale dans un asana confortable comme Padma-asana / Swastika-asana / Siddhasana / Vajrasana.

2. Reposez les mains sur les genoux.

3. Pliez les bords d'une langue étendue vers l'extérieur pour ressembler à un tube creux et rond.

4. Draw in the air through the mouth with a hissing sound ‘Si’ and feel the air touching the tongue while inhaling.

5. Retenez votre respiration aussi longtemps que vous le pouvez jusqu'à ce que vous ressentiez un inconfort.

6. Expirez lentement par les deux narines.

Limite de temps:

1 – 5 minutes. Practice regularly in the morning, 15 to 30 times.

Sitkari Pranayama

5. Souffle Rafraîchissant (Shitkari)

Pas:

1. Upright position in a comfortable asana like Padma-asana.
2. Fold the tongue so that its tip is brought to rest over the upper palate. Inhale air through the mouth accompanied by a hissing sound ‘Si’/ ‘C’.
3. Retain the breath as long as you can, till there is any discomfort.
4. Slowly exhale through both the nostrils.

Limite de temps:

Augmentez progressivement toutes les semaines de 1 minutes jusqu'à 5 minutes.

6. Souffle Souffle (Bhastrika)

Il ressemble à un soufflet de forgeron. Cela implique une expulsion rapide du souffle et constitue un exercice puissant. On peut appeler cela une combinaison de Kapalabhati et d'Ujjayi.

Pas:

1. Position verticale (avec un cou droit) dans un asana confortable comme Padma-asana.  
2. Corps, tête et cou en position debout. Ferme la bouche.  
3. Inspirez de l'air (la poitrine se dilate et les muscles abdominaux sont aspirés) et expirez rapidement 10 fois (1 set). Ce faisant, un sifflement est produit.  
4 Lorsque 1 est sur le point de s'achever, l'expulsion finale doit être suivie d'une inhalation la plus profonde possible.  
5. Retenez votre souffle aussi longtemps que vous le pouvez jusqu'à ce que vous ressentiez un inconfort.  
6. Suivez-le avec une expiration complète et lente. Ceci marque la fin d'un tour.  
7 Après un court repos (avec une respiration normale), commencez le prochain tour.

Limite de temps:

Pratiquez trois tours par jour matin et soir.

Remarque:

  • Si vous rencontrez des vertiges, arrêtez la pratique et prenez quelques respirations normales. Continuez après que le vertige soit retombé.
  • En été, pratiquez-le le matin uniquement pendant les heures fraîches.
  • Those wishing to practice it in the long-term and in an intense manner, should live on ‘Khichdi’, and take an Enema (‘Bhasti’) in the morning before starting the practice.

Pranayama bhramari

7. Souffle de bourdonnement (Bhramari)

 Its name is derived from the fact that a sound like that of ‘humming of bees’ is produced when it is practiced.

Pas:

1. Upright position in a comfortable asana like Padma-asana or Swastika-asana. Keep the neck and back erect.
2. Place your thumbs on the ears, index fingers just above the eyebrows (near the sinuses) and the remaining three fingers on the eyes. The finger-tips should slightly press the ridge of the nose on each side.
3. Inhale and exhale air rapidly through both the nostrils, making a humming sound resembling that of a Bee (‘Bhramara’). Concomitantly chant ‘Om’.
4. The process can be continued till you perspire profusely.
5. Next inhale through both the nostrils and retain the breath as long as you can, till there is some discomfort.
6. Exhale slowly through both the nostrils.

Les débutants peuvent le pratiquer 3 fois et les praticiens avancés 11-21.

Murcha

8. Supreme Breath (‘Murcha Pranayama’)

Pas:

1. Upright position in a comfortable asana like Padma-asana.
2. Close the eyes and concentrate on the space between the 2 eyebrows (‘Trikuti’).
3. Inhale slowly through the mouth and retain the breath till you feel faint.
4. Sever off your connection with the surroundings and focus on the center-point between the 2 eyebrows.
5. Apply the chin on the chest and then exhale slowly.

Kevala Kumbhaka

9. Unconditioned Breath (‘Kevala Kumbhaka’)

2. Elle implique l’arrêt soudain de la respiration sans recourir à une inspiration ou à une expiration.

Respiration alternée de narine

10. Souffle Alternatif

Un exercice simple mais scientifique qui peut être pratiqué pratiquement n'importe où. Il est basé sur le fait que nous alternons les deux narines lorsque nous respirons.

Pas:

1. Position verticale dans un asana confortable comme Padma-asana. Inclinez votre tête légèrement en avant.

2. Premier tour:

  • Pliez l'index et le majeur de la main droite dans sa paume. Les autres doigts devraient être étendus.
  • Fermez la narine droite avec votre pouce droit.
  • Inspirez par la narine gauche pendant une période définie - disons 5 secondes.
  • Fermez la narine gauche avec l'annulaire et l'auriculaire droits.
  • En même temps, retirez votre pouce de la narine droite et expirez.
  • Cela doit être fait pendant deux fois la période d'inhalation, c'est-à-dire pendant 10 secondes.
  • Ceci termine la première moitié d'un tour. 3. Deuxième tour
  • Inspirez par la narine droite pendant une période définie, à savoir 5 secondes.
  • Fermez la narine droite avec le pouce droit.
  • Expirez par la narine gauche pendant une période correspondant à deux fois celle d'une inhalation, à savoir 10 secondes.
  • Ceci termine l'autre moitié d'un tour.

3. Deuxième tour:

  • Inspirez par la narine droite pendant une période définie - disons 5 secondes.
  • Fermez la narine droite avec votre pouce droit.
  • Expirez par la narine gauche pendant une période correspondant à deux fois celle d'une inhalation, à savoir 10 secondes.
  • Ceci termine l'autre moitié d'un tour.

Limite de temps:

S'il n'y a pas d'inconfort d'aucune sorte après avoir pratiqué comme indiqué ci-dessus, augmentez progressivement la période d'inhalation, seconde après seconde. Modifier de manière correspondante la période d'expiration.

Nombre de tours:

Begin with 3 rounds. If there is no discomfort, 1 round can be added every week, until you are doing 7 rounds.

This exercise can be practiced as often as you wish, but do remember to do it at least once a day.
